Allianz Commercial hires five from Axa XL to expand US construction team

April 3 - (The Insurer) - Allianz Commercial has added Kristen Hoskinson, Emily Hernandez, Alexander Hansen, Karima Jones and Jared Bush-Howe to its construction master builders' risk team.

The hires are all set to join by mid-April.

Hoskinson has joined as executive underwriter team leader for Allianz Commercial, effective April 3. She previously worked at Axa XL as underwriting manager and national practice leader for master builders' risk programs.

Hernandez has joined as underwriting specialist, effective April 14. Previously, she was an underwriter at Axa XL.

Hansen, formerly an underwriter at Axa XL, has joined as senior underwriter, effective April 14.

Jones has joined in a newly created hybrid role, effective April 3. She was a builders' risk underwriter at Axa XL.

Bush-Howe has joined as senior risk consultant, effective April 3. Previously, he was a senior construction risk engineer on Axa XL's master builders' risk team.

They will report to Chris Fancher, U.S. head of construction property, North America practice group leader of construction at Allianz Commercial.

Construction is a strategic growth area for Allianz Commercial, the company said.

"With the global construction market set for a sustained period of strong growth, driven by a planned surge in government and private spending on infrastructure, including a pipeline of energy transition projects," it said.
