Arch names Barrett head of cyber and healthcare

April 1 - (The Insurer) - Arch Insurance International has appointed James Barrett as head of cyber and healthcare, effective immediately.

Barrett has served as Arch's head of healthcare since joining the company in 2018. In October last year he was handed additional responsibility as head of cyber on an interim basis.

Barrett has worked in the sector for more than 15 years, firstly with Chaucer before a six-year stint at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, where he served as senior healthcare underwriter.

He is based in London and reports to Mike Lay, chief underwriting officer for long-tail lines.
