Aon adds former White House cyber official Viña as SVP

March 20 - (The Insurer) - Aon has hired Stephen Viña, a former senior leader in the Office of the National Cyber Director at the White House, as senior vice president on its cyber broking product and claims team.
Before his three-year tenure at the White House, Viña served as a senior adviser for cybersecurity and critical infrastructure at USDA, and spent four years at Marsh as senior vice president in the cyber insurance broker and claims department.
He spent nearly a decade on Capitol Hill in roles across the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives.
Darin McMullen, managing director and E&O/Cyber insurance product leader at Aon, announced Viña's appointment on LinkedIn.
