Brazil's economic activity rises more than expected in January

BRASILIA, March 17 (Reuters) - Brazil's economic activity grew more than expected in January, central bank data showed on Monday, with a 0.9% increase from the previous month.
Economists polled by Reuters had forecast a 0.22% rise in the index, a key gauge of gross domestic product (GDP).
