LA MALBAIE, Canada, March 13 (Reuters) - European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said on Thursday that she was optimistic that a joint statement from the G7 foreign ministers would be agreed, but warned there was a long night of talks ahead and some elements still needed work.
"If we can't reach agreement on the communique, then it shows the division. It's not in the interest of any of the members of the G7," she told Reuters on the sidelines of the G7 foreign ministers' meeting in Canada, adding that there was good wording on Ukraine so far that she hoped remained.
