- Brazil's Institutional Relations Minister Gleisi Hoffmann said on Thursday that the government expects to present an income tax reform bill next week, after concluding some fine tuning that has delayed it from being formally sent to Congress.

The plans for the reform, which would exempt those earning up to 5,000 reais ($861.33) per month from income tax, were announced in late November and led to a negative market reaction amid fiscal concerns.
