- (The Insurer) - Carol Voorhees, executive vice president and chief operating officer of New Jersey-based NJM Insurance Group, has been appointed to succeed president and chief executive officer Mitch Livingston, who will retire on July 31, 2025.

Voorhees joined the West Trenton-based P&C insurer in 1996 as a systems analyst, and has held various different leadership roles over her 29 year tenure.

Livingston will retire after 19 years with NJM, the past seven of which he spent as its president and CEO.

Founded in 1913, NJM provides personal insurance products in Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, while working with independent agents to offer business insurance in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.

"Mitch skillfully led NJM through the most transformational period in the company's history, expanding its products and geographic footprint to become a full-service, multi-line regional carrier," said Edward Stern, chairman of NJM's board of directors.
