MOSCOW, March 13 (Reuters) - The Kremlin said on Thursday that the U.S. had provided certain information to Russia about a proposed ceasefire for Ukraine and would continue to do so in expected face-to-face talks in the coming days.
U.S. negotiators were en route to Russia, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters, without giving more details.
A plane used by Steve Witkoff, U.S. President Donald Trump's special envoy, had crossed the Russia border earlier on Thursday, the state-run TASS news agency reported, citing flight-tracking service Flightradar.
Peskov said that Yuri Ushakov, Russian President Vladimir Putin's foreign policy adviser, and Mike Waltz, U.S. national security adviser, had spoken by phone on Wednesday.
