Mexico cenbank deputy governor says impact of US tariffs remains to be seen

MEXICO CITY, March 12 (Reuters) - Mexican central bank deputy governor Omar Mejia said Wednesday that tariffs have been a negotiating tool for the U.S. and it remains to be seen whether they will have a lasting impact.
Mejia, speaking to journalists after an event in Mexico City, said he expects dialogue will prevail in North America, in reference to Mexico's trade partners, the U.S. and Canada.
