Warburg Pincus adds Joyn CEO Macia as senior adviser

March 12 - (The Insurer) - Warburg Pincus has appointed Seraina Macia, CEO and co-founder of MGA Joyn Insurance, as a senior adviser.

Macia has more than three decades of experience in the industry. She has served in leadership and executive roles at AIG, Hamilton Insurance, XL Insurance, Zurich and Swiss Re.

She launched Joyn, an MGA offering commercial insurance products to small and middle-market customers, in 2020.

Macia has also been a board member and chairwoman for the Food Bank of New York City for over a decade. She was on the board at Credit Suisse, Blackboard and BanQu.

She shared that she would be joining Warburg Pincus on LinkedIn.

In January, Warburg Pincus and Kelso & Company exercised a put option notice to sell one-third of their initial shares of Somers Group Holdings, according to disclosures in Arch Capital’s third-quarter 10-Q.
