Brown & Riding hires CRC’s Calabro to construction practice

March 4 - (The Insurer) - Brown & Riding has added Nick Calabro from rival wholesaler CRC Group as a senior vice president in its construction practice.
In a statement confirming the move, the firm said Florida-based Calabro brings more than 13 years of industry experience to his new role, with a specialist focus in construction, real estate and hospitality.
Commenting on the hire, Brown & Riding president and CEO Jeff Rodriguez said: “His extensive experience and demonstrated expertise make him a valuable addition to our team. We look forward to the contributions he will make and the impact he will have on both our team and clients.”
The firm’s chairman and national construction practice leader, Chris Brown, added: “Nick brings a wealth of expertise and a strong understanding of the industry. His depth of experience and industry insight will further strengthen our team and capabilities to best serve our clients.”
The Calabro hire comes after Brown & Riding last month added Hayley Cassis as vice president and casualty broker specialising in construction, marking her return to the firm after two years at RT Specialty.
In January, Brown & Riding announced it had appointed JulieAnne Lally as its real estate practice leader.
