Bridge Specialty completes acquisition of NBS, rebrands as LocalEdge

March 3 - (The Insurer) - Bridge Specialty Group, the wholesale broking division of Brown & Brown, has completed its previously announced acquisition of Columbus, Ohio-based NBS Insurance Agency from Nationwide.
The company noted that the transaction includes only NBS Insurance Agency and excludes other Nationwide-affiliated companies.
As part of the acquisition, Bridge Specialty Group has rebranded NBS as LocalEdge, with the new name set to be integrated across communications, tools and resources in the coming weeks and months.
“Under the LocalEdge banner, agents will continue to benefit from the same great team, specialisation and resources they rely on, now enhanced as we join the Bridge Specialty Group team,” said Ted Stuckey, president of LocalEdge.
The acquisition was announced in early February.
