Risk Strategies names Lewis commercial lines COO, succeeding Carnase

March 3 - (The Insurer) - Risk Strategies has appointed Melissa Lewis as COO of commercial lines, succeeding Drew Carnase, who is retiring after more than 30 years in the industry.

Lewis joined Risk Strategies in 2023 as a business operations consultant and most recently served as senior director of business operations.

During her tenure, she developed a unification strategy for integrating acquisitions, spearheaded the creation of the firm’s integration management office and built a business operations team.

Earlier in her career, Lewis spent over three decades in various leadership roles at WTW and Sunflower Group.

In her new role, Lewis will focus on driving growth, expanding market share for the firm and strengthening support systems for sales and service teams.

“I feel confident that my industry experience, the groundwork Drew has laid, and the firm’s culture of collaboration and entrepreneurship will ensure success in both the near and long term,” said Lewis.
