- (The Insurer) - Amwins has acquired Folsom, California-based Community Association Insurance Solutions (CAIS), an MGA and program administrator specialising in insurance solutions for homeowners' associations (HOAs), townhomes, condominiums, and planned unit developments (PUDs).

As part of the agreement, CAIS will continue its operations under Amwins Underwriting, expanding the suite of specialised programs and capabilities available to clients.

Founded in 1999, CAIS offers a range of products designed specifically for the community association space.

The company's proprietary technology platform, MGAlive.com, launched in 2008 to streamline the quoting, binding and issuance process for agents.

Additionally, CAIS offers its national "If-Any" workers' compensation program, covering board members, committee members, and volunteers, as well as niche-specific insurance programs, including crime fidelity coverage.

Dowling Hales served as the exclusive financial advisor to CAIS during the transaction.

"Their innovative technology, deep market expertise, and specialized products fit seamlessly with our commitment to delivering top-tier insurance solutions for community associations,” said Ryan Armijo, president of Amwins Underwriting.

Anthony Nola, president of CAIS, added, "With Amwins' resources and market reach, we can strengthen our offerings and expand our leadership in the community association market we serve."
