Mexico has back-up plan in case Trump goes through with tariff threat, president says

MEXICO CITY, March 3 (Reuters) - Mexico will wait and see if U.S. President Donald Trump goes through with his threat to slap tariffs on its southern neighbor on Tuesday, the nation's president said on Monday, adding that Mexico has back-up plans in case the tariffs go into place.
President Claudia Sheinbaum, speaking in a morning press conference, said she would speak more about her decisions on Tuesday, but that whatever the U.S. decided, Mexico was ready.
