Canadian foreign minister pledges 'unwavering support' for Ukraine

OTTAWA, Feb 28 (Reuters) - Canada remains committed to providing the necessary assistance to Ukraine, Canada's top diplomat told her Ukrainian counterpart on Friday after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and U.S. President Donald Trump clashed at a White House meeting.
"Just spoke with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha to reaffirm Canada's unwavering support for Ukraine," Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly said in a post on X.
"Canada remains committed to providing the necessary assistance to ensure Ukraine's security, sovereignty, and resilience," she added.
