Gallagher acquires São Paulo-based Case Group

Feb 27 - (The Insurer) - Arthur J Gallagher has acquired São Paulo, Brazil-based Case Group, an employee and health benefits brokerage and consulting firm.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The Case Group team, led by Rafael Motta, will continue operating from their current location under the leadership of Luiz Araripe, country manager of Gallagher’s Brazil operations.
"Case Group's market expertise in employee and health benefits solutions will expand our capabilities in Brazil," said J. Patrick Gallagher Jr., chairman and CEO.
Earlier this week, The Insurer reported that Gallagher is nearing a deal to acquire employee-owned D&O specialist retail broker Woodruff Sawyer. The transaction, expected to be valued at $1 billion or more, would mark the latest major acquisition for the Pat Gallagher-led firm.
