SPD co-leader says in talks with conservatives towards gov't formation timetable

BERLIN, Feb 26 (Reuters) - The co-leader of Germany's Social Democrats, Lars Klingbeil, said on Wednesday that his party was in talks with election winner Friedrich Merz and his conservatives about agreeing on a timetable for negotiations towards the creation of a government.
"We are now in talks with the conservatives, Friedrich Merz and I have agreed that, once the line-ups in the groups are clear, we will speak soon and also agree on a timetable for talks," he said.
