Russia's Lavrov says UN vote outcome reflected better understanding of Ukraine conflict's 'root causes'

MOSCOW, Feb 25 (Reuters) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Tuesday that a United Nations Security Council vote to adopt a U.S.-drafted resolution that took a neutral position on the Ukraine conflict showed the causes of the war were being better understood.
The Security Council on Monday adopted a U.S.-drafted resolution that takes a neutral position on the conflict as U.S. President Donald Trump seeks to broker an end to the war.
Lavrov was speaking in Tehran.
