NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL
The National Security Council will meet at 1230 GMT to discuss the situation in Ukraine.
PRESIDENT DUDA
U.S. presence in Poland and Central Europe should be boosted, Polish President Andrzej Duda told U.S. President Donald Trump during a short meeting in Washington on Saturday.
INTEREST RATES
If rate cuts in Poland will happen at all in 2025, then they will be at the end of the year and the scale of monetary policy easing would be minor, rate-setter Iwona Duda said in an interview for PAP.
RETAIL SALES
Statistics office will release Polish retail sales data for January at 0900. Analysts polled by Reuters estimate that sales rose 1.5% year-on-year.
UKRAINIAN COMPANIES IN POLAND
In 2022-2024, almost 78,000 companies run by Ukrainians were registered in Poland. Last year was a record, when 33,200 were established, according to a report by the Polish Economic Institute published by Rzeczpospolita daily.
