Alliant Specialty bolsters national commercial surety practice with trio of hires

Feb 20 - (The Insurer) - Alliant Specialty has appointed Jeff Leadley, Glenn Pelletiere and Tom Rhatigan as senior vice presidents within its national commercial surety practice.

The three industry veterans specialise in developing and managing large, complex surety programs across various sectors.

Based in Chicago, Leadley brings 25 years of experience to his new role. He most recently served as regional managing director at Aon.

New York City-based Pelletiere has worked in the commercial surety market for 35 years, latterly as a client executive at Marsh, where he spent nine years.

Rhatigan, also based in the New York area, brings 28 years of combined surety underwriting and broking experience to his new role. He has joined Alliant from WTW, where he spent two years as senior director, Northeast commercial surety leader.

At Alliant, the trio will collaborate with national commercial surety practice leader Orlando Aguirre to expand the platform, which launched in August 2024.

“The decades of surety experience and expertise that Jeff, Glenn and Tom bring to Alliant strengthens and elevates our national commercial surety platform, and will propel our nationwide growth,” said Michael Cusack, executive vice president at Alliant Specialty.

“The focus and expansion of our commercial surety practice builds on our current position as the nation’s largest contract surety broker,” Cusack added.
