King Risk acquires CT-based Kerr Agency

- (The Insurer) - Private equity-backed broker King Risk Partners has acquired the Kerr Agency, a Simsbury, Connecticut-based firm, further expanding its presence across the Northeast.

Founded in 1927, the Kerr Agency offers personal, business, life and health insurance services to clients in Simsbury and throughout Connecticut.

"This acquisition not only strengthens our footprint in Connecticut but also enhances our ability to provide top-notch service to our clients,” said Malcolm King, CEO of King Risk Partners.

Craig Kubasek, independent agent at the Kerr Agency, added: "Through this partnership, we will be able to expand our personal and business insurance offerings while continuing to uphold the high standards of quality and client satisfaction that our customers have come to expect."

Earlier this month, King Risk Partners announced that it had acquired Dayton, Ohio-based Barker, Beck, Collins & Kronauge Agency (BBC&K), extending its presence in the Midwest.
