Lloyd’s expands Investment Platform with EUR and GBP funds

Feb 19 - (The Insurer) - Lloyd’s has expanded its Enhanced Liquidity Fund range for strategic cash management on the Lloyd’s Investment Platform with the launch of two new EUR and GBP funds.
The EUR and GBP Enhanced Yield Liquidity funds have been designed as a place for long-term strategic cash held at Lloyd’s, targeting higher-return opportunities coupled with high-liquidity and low-Solvency II capital charge efficiencies.
The Lloyd’s Investment Platform, which already manages a USD Enhanced Yield Liquidity Fund, now provides access to an expanded suite covering the key market currencies to support treasury and investment teams within the managing agent community.
Schroders Solutions, the investment advisor to the Lloyd’s investment platform, has selected Insight Investment to manage the new funds, following a due diligence and approval process.
The Lloyd’s Investment Platform offers the Lloyd’s market broader access to investment opportunities and operational efficiencies through investing collectively.
The platform, which is open to all market participants, consists of a series of third-party-managed bespoke fund solutions with growing adoption by managing agents.
In June last year Lloyd’s launched a Canadian core fixed-income fund on the investment platform. This followed the December 2023 launch of a Canadian core fixed-income fund and the April 2023 launch of the debut Lloyd’s Private Impact Fund for sustainability-related assets.
The first fund also saw the formal launch of the Schroders-managed investment platform. This publication revealed in 2022 that Lloyd’s had entered into an investment partnership with Schroders Solutions, part of the Schroders Group.

These two new funds underpin our steadfast commitment to enhancing capital return potential within the Lloyd’s market through innovative solutions."
