Feb 18 (Reuters) - Colombian financial conglomerate Grupo Aval posted a more than three-fold increase in its net profit in last year's fourth quarter, reaching 281.4 billion pesos ($68.8 million), a securities filing showed on Tuesday.
Its 2023 fourth-quarter net profit landed at 82.9 billion pesos.
The conglomerate's interest income during the last three months of 2024 totaled 6.83 trillion pesos, according to the filing, down about 8% versus its interest income from the same three-month period a year earlier.
Grupo Aval's portfolio includes Colombian lenders Banco de Bogota BBO.CN, Banco de Occidente BOC.CN and pension fund Porvenir.
