Manhattan US Attorney Sassoon resigns after request to drop Eric Adams case

NEW YORK, Feb 13 (Reuters) - Danielle Sassoon, the top federal prosecutor in Manhattan, has resigned her post, a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney's office for the Southern District of New York said on Thursday.
Sassoon's resignation comes after the Justice Department ordered her to drop corruption charges against New York City mayor Eric Adams. Adams has pleaded not guilty.
