Feb 13 - (The Insurer) Ardonagh Group-owned specialty broker Price Forbes has continued the build-out of its Turkish operation with the appointment of Ercan Eryaşar as chief sales officer of Price Forbes Türkiye.
Eryaşar brings 29 years of industry experience to this newly created role, along with expertise in wholesale and reinsurance broking.
His career includes leadership roles at Mapfre Sigorta Türkiye, where he spent 25 years serving as deputy general manager, overseeing non-auto underwriting, claims and corporate marketing.
In 2020, Eryaşar moved to Howden Türkiye, where he served as chief operating officer for two years and CEO for two and a half years. He is also a certified loss adjuster in the engineering and property fields.
Eryaşar’s hire follows the appointment of Gökçen Süer as chairman and CEO of Price Forbes Türkiye.
Announcing the hire earlier this month, Price Forbes said the appointment of Süer – founder of the country's first wholesale broker, GRC Re, and previously chairman of Howden Sigorta and GRC Howden Re – was a “pivotal step” in the broker’s strategy to strengthen its footprint in the region.
Commenting on appointment, Süer said Eryaşar brings “extensive” experience and industry knowledge to Price Forbes Türkiye’s leadership team.
“His track record in underwriting, claims, and broking – along with his strong market relationships – will be key to achieving our long-term growth ambitions.”
As previously reported, Price Forbes rebranded Besso Sigorta, which had been operating in the Turkish market for over a decade, to Price Forbes Türkiye in early 2025.
Price Forbes is the largest independent specialty broker in the London market, managing more than $6bn in gross written premium with a global team of 2,500 colleagues.
