Russia's Lavrov surprised world sees Putin-Trump call as something extraordinary

MOSCOW, Feb 13 (Reuters) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Thursday he was surprised the world considered Wednesday's phone call between President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump to be an "extraordinary" event.
Lavrov told CNN the phone call, in which the two men discussed ending the war in Ukraine, was a discussion between "educated and polite people".
