DUBLIN, Feb 12 (Reuters) - Ireland's trade minister Simon Harris said on Wednesday there was a window for negotiation between the European Union and the United States on trade, in a statement released after a video meeting with counterparts from the bloc's 27 members.
“It was encouraging to hear about the engagement with the US that has started and to know that further meetings are planned. There is a window for negotiation ahead of the 12 March deadline," Harris said, referring to the date when U.S. President Donald Trump intends to impose tariffs on steel and aluminium.
