Feb 12 (Reuters) - Russia launched a rescue operation for 300 fishermen stranded on an ice floe drifting in the Sea of Okhotsk in the Western Pacific, Russia's emergency ministry said on Wednesday.
About a 10m (33 ft) ice crack formed from the village of Malki to the mouth of the Dolinka River in the Sakhalin region, setting the fishermen adrift in the Sea of Okhotsk, the ministry said in a post on the Telegram messaging app.
