WASHINGTON, Feb 11 (Reuters) - The Inspector-General for U.S. Agency for International Development(USAID), Paul Martin, has been removed from his position, an official at the independent government watchdog told Reuters on Tuesday.
The move comes one day after the inspector general's office released a report that said the Trump administration's move to gut USAID has crippled the agency's ability to conduct any proper oversight of unspent aid worth $8.2 billion.
