Feb 11 - (The Insurer) - Lockton has promoted Paul Rodriguez, former national surety growth leader, to the role of national surety practice leader, succeeding Patrick Pribyl, who will transition to chairman of the national surety practice.
Rodriguez, who joined Lockton in 2022, helped expand the broker’s partnerships with construction, infrastructure and Fortune 1000 companies.
Previously, Rodriguez spent 18 years at Aon, where he held several leadership roles within its surety group, most recently serving as regional managing director.
Rodriguez will be supported by the regional leadership team: Janina Monroe (West), Evan Sizemore (Central), and Doug Irvin (East).
In his new role as chairman, Pribyl will advise Rodriguez and the broader practice while maintaining client and carrier relationships.
“Surety is an important component of our business and provides critical stability and confidence for our clients in a multitude of industries including construction, homebuilding/development, energy and private equity,” said Tim Ryan, Lockton’s US president.
Earlier this month, The Insurer revealedthat Lockton had hired Mark Costin as head of aviation.
