BOSTON, Feb 10 (Reuters) - Democratic attorneys general from 22 states filed a lawsuit on Monday challenging sharp cuts to grant funding for universities, medical centers and other research institutions that the Trump administration announced on Friday.
The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Boston, takes aim at cuts the National Institutes of Health adopted that go into effect on Monday to the reimbursement rate for research institutions' indirect costs that are not directly related to a scientific project's goals.
