- (The Insurer) - European boutique MGA Alta Signa has added Audrey Louche to its growing cyber division as an underwriter.

Based in France, Louche brings expertise in underwriting cyber risks, most recently at Cogitanda, Assurup and Chubb.

In her new role, Louche will help to shape Alta Signa’s cyber offering to meet the fast-changing demands of the sector.

Ingo Trede, European head of technical underwriting at Alta Signa, commented: "Cyber risk is one of the most dynamic and high-stakes areas of insurance today, and businesses – particularly SMEs – are under increasing pressure to stay ahead of ever-more sophisticated threats.”

Louche added: "Cyber insurance is a business imperative. The frequency and severity of attacks, combined with increasing regulatory scrutiny, mean businesses need cover that is as agile and responsive as the threats they face.”

Brussels-headquartered Alta Signa announced last month that it had added Westfield Specialty International to its capacity panel, adding an additional €5mn ($5.24mn) of capacity for both D&O and financial institutions risks.
