Epic expands private client practice with Chartwell acquisition

Feb 10 - (The Insurer) - Epic Insurance Brokers & Consultants has acquired Chicago-based Chartwell Insurance Services, which specialises in personal property and liability solutions for individuals and families.
Epic said that the acquisition expands its private client practice, enhancing its ability to deliver specialised solutions nationwide while continuing to grow its presence in Chicago and the broader Midwest.
Chartwell was founded and is led by Rebecca Korach Woan. Its focus includes collections of fine art, jewelry and vintage cars, as well as comprehensive coverage for residences, automobiles and yachts.
Kevin Daley, president of Epic Private Client, commented: “Rebecca and her team share our dedication to delivering tailored solutions and trusted guidance, and we are thrilled to welcome them as we continue to expand in Chicago and beyond.”
The acquisition follows the 2024 integration of Chicago-based Phillips Bros Insurance Agency, a multi-line firm that focuses on private client and commercial property casualty solutions.
