Feb 4 - (The Insurer) - Howden's MGA arm Dual has made several appointments across its UK underwriting and distribution functions, including Steve Kelly as managing director for construction.
In this role, Kelly will be responsible for growing Dual's existing construction portfolio as well as exploring opportunities for expansion into new areas, including power generation.
He joins Dual following nine years at Allianz, where he was head of construction and power underwriting.
Elsewhere, James Ramira has been named managing director for regional P&C and social care, expanding on his current responsibilities leading Dual's social care and commercial underwriting teams.
Ramira joined Dual in 2014, specialising in broking and underwriting functions for the niche social care space.
Lastly, Georgie Petrou has been appointed head of strategic accounts, having most recently served as strategic development manager for the UK and Ireland at Chubb.
