RT Specialty adds Philadelphia's Mack as environment and construction liability consultant

Feb 3 - (The Insurer) - RT Specialty has hired Steve Mack, former senior specialty broker at Philadelphia Insurance Companies, as a broker and consultant in its environment and construction liability practice.

Mack has over 20 years of experience in the environment and regulation space. Before a six-year tenure at Philadelphia, he was an underwriter at Aspen Insurance Group. Before entering the insurance industry, he served as a project scientist at Iris Environmental, mid-Atlantic Associates and Terracon.

“[Mack's] forward-thinking and innovative approach, combined with his analytical prowess and business acumen, make him a valuable member of our team," said Jeff Slivka, president of RT ECP.

“[Mack's] expertise is an invaluable asset that will help our brokers better protect their clients while also growing their books... I encourage brokers in the northwest region to leverage [Mack's] knowledge to elevate client services.”

In January, RT Specialty appointed 18 new RT Binding Authority office presidents across the US. In November 2024, the company hired ARC E&S executive and national cyber practice leader Chris Bellingrath as executive vice president.
