White House says large number of federal workers have accepted incentives to quit

WASHINGTON, Jan 31 (Reuters) - A large number of federal workers have accepted a Trump administration offer of financial incentives for quitting their jobs as part of plans to drastically shrink the size of the U.S. government, a White House official said on Friday.
Deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller said he did not have an exact number, but initial briefings on the issue indicated a large number of federal workers had accepted the offer.
