- (The Insurer) - WTW has made a pair of senior construction appointments on both sides of the Atlantic with Steven Anderson rejoining the firm and Berkay Beyazok moving to the broker from BMS Group.

Anderson, who is based in Florida, has been appointed senior construction broker in North America.

He brings over 30 years of industry experience to the role. During his career, Anderson has worked on project-specific and controlled insurance coverages (OCIP/CCIPs), along with builder’s risk, environmental risk, professional liability, large deductible and retention programs.

In his new role, Anderson will support WTW’s clients across North America with a focus on the real estate development segment of the construction industry.

Anderson has moved to WTW from McGriff where he most recently served as a client relationship executive. Prior to joining McGriff in 2023, Anderson spent just over two years at Lockton.

Before moving to Lockton in early 2021, Anderson was at WTW.

In the UK, Beyazok has joined WTW as head of construction for GB facultative reinsurance in London.

The recruit brings 13 years of experience in engineering and insurance to WTW.

He spent the past six years at BMS’ risk solutions division where he helped to develop tailored risk solutions for clients across multiple regions, including the US, Israel, Türkiye, Australia, Canada, Africa, and the Middle East.

Prior to BMS, Berkay was at Anadolu Insurance in Istanbul for five years, latterly as a senior underwriter, during which time WTW said he built strong relationships across Türkiye, the Middle East, Northern Africa, and Eastern Europe.

At WTW, Berkey reports into the broker’s head of facultative GB Tony Simm.
