World acquires business of NY-based HML Brokerage

Jan 28 - (The Insurer) - World Insurance Associates has acquired the business of Brooklyn, New York-based HML Brokerage, a deal the company completed on 1 September 2024 but has only just announced.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 2013, HML specialises in property and casualty insurance, with a particular focus on the commercial and construction industries.
Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla provided legal counsel to World Insurance Associates, while Schwell Wimpfheimer & Associates represented HML.
Sica Fletcher advised World on the transaction, and Helfer & Associates advised HML.
Since its founding in 2011, World has completed over 250 acquisitions and serves its clients from more than 250 offices across the US, according to the company.
World recently announced another 1 September acquisition, with the company acquiring the business of Santee-based Business Contractors Insurance Services, a deal that expanded its presence in California.
