Senator says Connecticut's Medicaid payment system blocked after US freeze

WASHINGTON, Jan 28 (Reuters) - Connecticut's Medicaid payment system has been turned off one day after the Trump administration halted federal funding, U.S. Senator Chris Murphy said on Tuesday, adding that the state's doctors and hospitals cannot get paid.
Murphy, a Democrat from Connecticut, said on X that he could confirm the state was locked out of the system, and that "discussions (were) ongoing about whether services can continue."
