EU' Kubilius: We need a big bang in EU's defence

BRUSSELS, Jan 22 (Reuters) - The European Union is facing an existential threat with Russia waging war in Ukraine and must thus increase its defence spending, European Commissioner for Defence and Space Andrius Kubilius, said on Wednesday.

"We need to spend more, spend better, spend European (...) collective approach can create a real big bang in defence," he said during a speech at the annual conference of the European Defence Agency (EDA).
