Fed's Williams says details of new government policies are important

HARTFORD, Connecticut, Jan 15 (Reuters) - Federal Reserve Bank of New York President John Williams said Wednesday it's too soon to say how the election outcome and the return of Donald Trump as president will affect the economy.
While there's a lot of uncertainty about government policy and that uncertainty is causing some businesses to hold back on investment, "the details here do matter" and it's key to see what the actual policies are and how others react to this agenda, Williams said in an appearance before the CBIA Economic Summit and Outlook 2025 in Hartford, Connecticut.
