Feb 15 (Reuters) - Peru's economy grew 3.44% in 2025, the government's INEI statistics agency said on Sunday, up slightly from the year before.
The GDP also expanded by 3.83% in December compared with 1.53% growth in November, the statistics agency reported. It highlighted increased production in "most economic sectors," including construction, trade and manufacturing.
Peru's mining-driven economy has enjoyed a commodities boom but also faces deep-seated political instability, with seven presidents since 2016. Interim President Jose Jeri is facing impeachment just four months after taking office.
