Brazil says not considering dividend controls in response to US tariffs
BRASILIA, July 19 (Reuters) - Brazil's Finance Ministry said on Saturday the government is not considering dividend controls as retaliation against the U.S., even if talks to reverse a 50% tariff on Brazilian goods announced by President Donald Trump's administration fail to advance.
The ministry confirmed a report by local newswire Broadcast citing Finance Minister Fernando Haddad, who said, "The Brazilian government is not considering such a measure."
