SAO PAULO, July 18 (Reuters) - Brazil's central bank will hold a dollar auction with a repurchase agreement for up to $600 million on July 22, the authority said in a statement on Friday.
The auction, which is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. local time, is intended to roll over contracts expiring on August 4.
On Tuesday, the central bank sold only $400 million in a similar deal that could have reached as much as $1 billion.
The repurchase in the new auction is set for November 4, according to the Friday's statement.
