TAIPEI, June 6 (Reuters) - Taiwan's central bank said on Friday that its communication with the U.S. Treasury Department has long been smooth, after it left the island on its currency monitoring list.
The central bank said in a statement that it will continue to exchange views with the U.S. Treasury on general economic and exchange rate policy, and reiterated that the Treasury had not asked for the Taiwan dollar's appreciation since U.S. tariffs were unveiled in April.
