Brazil ready to face any external environment, says finance minister
BRASILIA, April 11 (Reuters) - Brazil is ready to face and overcome any adverse external scenario, Finance Minister Fernando Haddad said on Friday, underscoring that Latin America's largest economy enjoys a "protective cushion" to defend itself from external turbulence.
In an interview with local radio BandNews, Haddad said he does not believe Brazil will face a recession, as U.S. President Donald Trump's tariffs unleashes a trade war. Haddad noted Brazilian inflation has risen, but said the government will bring it down.
