German inflation accelerates to 2.8% in March

BERLIN, March 30 (Reuters) - German inflation accelerated in March, in line with expectations, reaching 2.8% year on year, preliminary data from the federal statistics office showed on Monday.

Analysts polled by Reuters had forecast inflation, which is EU-harmonised, to jump to 2.8% from the 2.0% reported for February.
