Government data showed the top five markets were Germany where those exports were worth 386.4 million francs, the U.S. at 94.2 million francs, Hungary at 63.4 million francs, Italy at 62.2 million francs, and Luxembourg at 47.4 million francs.
All told, the Swiss arms exports went to 64 countries, the government said in a statement.
Major transactions included exports of ammunition and ammunition components as well as armoured vehicles and their components to Germany, ammunition and ammunition components to Hungary, components for artillery to Italy, and components for fighter jets to the United States, the data showed.
The Swiss parliament in December relaxed restrictions on weapons exports in a bid to support the domestic arms industry without compromising the country's traditional neutrality.
