German inflation unexpectedly eases to 2.0% in February

BERLIN, Feb 27 (Reuters) - German inflation unexpectedly eased in February, slipping to 2.0% year on year, preliminary data from the federal statistics office showed on Friday.

Analysts polled by Reuters had forecast inflation, which is EU-harmonised, to remain unchanged from the 2.1% reported for January.
